I commissioned one of my coworkers to take his lunch break and take our family photo! I work around a lot of very talented photographers, hopefully one day I will be as good as them! Here are some of my favorites.

Aunt Jacki!

Jacki is probably one of my favorite sister-in-laws. She is great with kids, especially Logan. She helped watch Logan when I went back to work and I wouldnt trust him with anyone else!

I am so grateful to have her as part of my family and I love that I have a great shopping buddy! Jacki is georgous inside and out and is a ton of fun to be around!

Lesson Learned

Yesterday we made the weekly trip to the grocery store to pick up some items for this next week. As we were walking into the store we passed a kid sitting on the sidewalk smoking who was way to young to be smoking, wearing dirty clothes and messy hair. I would have normally just walked by not paying attention but I was holding Logan.

He is into waving at everyone and everything lately. As we walked passed this kid Logan had a big smile waving right at him. He looked up at him and grinned.

I learned from my 11 month year old no matter what people look like, what stage of life they are in or where they come from we are all God's children and he cares about each one of us! Oh how blessed I am to have him as an example in my life.

Next time I will be the one waving at the stranger sitting on the sidewalk.

Ear Candle...

So about a week ago I woke up and one of my ears was clogged! After about 20 attempts of trying to clear it and 40 q-tips later I decided to call my always trusty, has a cure for everything mother-in-law. I told her about my current situation of going crazy not being able to hear. She said to come up to her house later that night after work and she could fix it.

I march downstairs to tell Trent and the first thing he says is EAR CANDLES! I must have been born on another planet because I had never heard of them. He then goes on to explain to me that you get a hollow cotton dipped bees wax tube, stick it in your ear, lite it and somehow it removes all the ear wax from your ear. It sounded a bit hokey but I was willing to try anything at that point.

We head up to Trent's parents house to find these tubes. I lay on my side stick the candle in my ear and lite it...five minutes later I can hear! My ear popped and it felt great! I did the other side because I could now hear better out of the ear that had just been candled (is that a word). Since then I have told everyone about it!

There are mixed reviews on the subject but anytime to feel like your ears need a good cleaning I highly recommend this!

(I wasn't naked like the photo! You can leave your clothes on when you do it, just to try to blow the flame out! Something about flaming hair! Cut the end off when you are done!)

Bear Lake

Right before school started we headed up to Bear Lake with Trent's parents, little sister and brother. The guys spent the mornings fishing and the girls went shopping and eating raspberry shakes. We ate dinner at the Pickleville playhouse and spent some time playing games and playing at the beach. I had never been to Bear Lake and I was so surprised how clear and blue the lake was.

The only problem was that Trent and I got food poisoning the night we headed up. After throwing up a few times I felt better but Trent was sick for another day. Next time we will not be eating in Logan on our way up...if I could only remember where we ate I would advise everyone to stay away!

Here are a few pictures of our good times. Sadly most of my photos corrupt. Guess we will have to go back to get some more!

Trent's Dad Lynn has been such a great role model to the men and baby boys in my life. He loves his kids and his grandbabies and it shows! I am so grateful for his help, support, expert advise and his willingness to listen anytime I need! Trent is a better husband, father, brother, and friend because of his dad.

Daddy's Day

Today we got to celebrate Father's Day. Here are some of the things Logan and I love about Trent.

-Awesome Father...Trent is an awesome father, husband, uncle, brother and friend. He loves playing with the babies in our family and they love him!

-Spirtual...Trent is such a great example of an awesome servant of the Lord. He has perfect words of comfort anytime you need them. He has a strong testimony of the gospel and is great about sharing his expierences with others around him.

-Athletic...I love Trent's athletic qualitys. He is awesome at any sport he plays. I am so excited for him to teach and play games and sports with our kids.

-Funny...Trent is really funny. A lot of time he is pretty quiet around people but he can get you laughing anytime. One thing I love about him is that he can change my mood by simply saying somthing funny.

-Super Smart...He is so super smart! Trent has tons of knowledge on lots of subjects! He is able to talk about anything with anyone! I am crossing my fingers that our kids get his smarts!

-Really Hot...Trent has georgous sky blue eyes, dark brown hair and has great skin! I didnt know how lucky I got to marry such a good looking guy!

Trent has so many great qualities I could keep going on for hours! I am so grateful for him and the support he gives me each day! We were able to go and visit Trent's dad this afternoon. Here is a picture of us!

This last month

So the other day I was looking at some blogs and I realized that I hadn't posted in Logan's blog for quite some time. Quick list of what has happened in the last couple of weeks.

We moved! (still working on pictures to post) We live in Lehi now and I love it! It is a little further to drive into work but much nicer than our last house. I don't hear any more traffic going passed our house. I have my own work space. I love my kitchen! I have a laundry room!!! Our ward just split so everyone feels like they are new, not just me. Trent drove around the neighborhood the other evening and we have some great bike trails, and fun little lakes right down the street, ducks, pelicans, I am guessing fish. Great place to go walking!

Logan is growing like a weed! He is rolling all over. From his back to his stomach and back...all day long! He has stared to laugh, it makes me laugh. The other day I was at work in a meeting and had Logan with me. He was talking to himself and I looked at him and told him to shhhh. He thought it was so funny he started to laugh, made me laugh. Now every time I say shhhh he giggles and giggles. Logan has been sleeping great! The other night he slept for 14 hours, yes count them! I was so excited. Now he usually sleeps for about 12 each night with about 4-5 naps through the day. I am so blessed. I have noticed with him that he is a very happy baby. It doesn't take much to make him smile. He is very ticklish! When I change his diaper I rub is sides and he giggles. Logan loves to lay on his back and hold his toes with his hands and look around.

We gardened yesterday...at least a little compared to what my mom does. Our last house we didn't have any flowerbed space. The grass went right up to the house. I pulled all the weeds in the front flower beds and I am hoping for FHE is week we can go buy some bushes and flowers and get them planted.

I made a mother's day pillow for my mom. I learned a new thing from my sister-in-law Ashley. It is called primitive stitch! I liked it! I am wanting to get more patterns and do some more. I will get a photo of it from my mom so you can all see.

We had Trent's mom's surprise 60th birthday party. One of the aunts wrote on the card happy 50th birthday...she doesn't look 60 or even 50. She looks great!

At work I have been a little crazy with back to back shows the month of April. Utah Valley Women's Expo, Scrapbook Expo, selling in Costco, bidding out and contracting a new trade show booth for our retail shows...the list goes on. I am so grateful to be able to work from home and in the office each week. Trent is so super supportive and I have great family baby sitters to watch Logan. Trent's sister Jacki is my main watcher of Logan. She is a great friend and is going to be a great mom...needs to get married first.

I tried out some new recipes the other day. Carmel pecan brownies, mini cheesecakes (different flavors), and chicken pot pie to name a few. I have come to the conclusion that I would much rather bake than cook. Trent doesn't have much of a sweet tooth so I end up either taking them into work or eating them...not good for my post baby body! I probably should go on a walk or more than one!

I think that is all for now since Logan is starting to fuss and is getting hungry! I am so lucky to be where I am in life! I have a great husband who I adore and is so supportive in any crazy thing I think up, a happy baby, a great job and great family who supports me and a Father in heaven who blesses me.

I will go through and post some pictures soon!

Happy Easter!

We had such a great Easter! We dyed eggs, went on easter egg hunts, saw the Easter bunny, at dinner and both grandparents, and Logan got a Easter basket three times bigger than himself! Easter snuck up on me a bit, I didnt get all the grandbabies Easter treats done. Oh well, life moves on...Hopefully next Easter.

Bath, Bum, Bumbo, and Boobs

Lately Logan is showing off his cute little personality. Every time I get him in the bath or when I am changing his diaper he will smile, giggle and coo at you. He loves it! He loves to be involved in everything when he is awake and loves to look around. I sit him in his bumbo and he entertains himself staring at his hands or looking around the room.

Today I was getting ready to feed Logan. Trent and Logan were talking back and forth and in the middle of his coos all the sudden he said boob! Trent looked at him shocked and we both started laughing and couldn't believe that he actually said that. I am sure Logan will get teased the rest of his life about his first word being boob.

Baby Blessing

Today we blessed Logan. It was such a great day! Trent did a great job and Logan looked so darling in his blessing outfit. We had tons of our family and friends over to celebrate Logans special day. Squishing everyone in our front living room was a bit tight but we figured everyone could get to know each other a little better. Logan is such a sweet baby, we are very lucky to have him in our home. We love you baby!

Ouch!

Shots are never fun! We went to Logan's two month appointment and he got five immunizations. The nurses were super fast. One second Logan was happy laying on the doctors table and the next second he was screaming bloody murder and the nurses were gone leaving me to try and calm him down. When we got home he seemed fine and even smiled at me when I was taking pictures of his battle wounds.
