4-Wheeling in the Snow

While we have a bit of time off with the Holidays Trent decided to load Logan and I up for a 4-wheeling adventure in the snow. It turned out to be great weather and we really enjoyed it. Being pregnant was a bit hard to handle the bumps, hold onto a kid that wanted to jump off and play and enjoy the scenery. We still had a great time!

Christmas

Christmas day! I am not sure that Logan knew what to expect. We had talked about Santa coming and bringing presents but it really didnt hit home to him until Christmas morning. We had to help convince him that it was ok to tear the wrapping paper to see what was inside.

His favorite toy that Santa brought him was this hammer set.

The best present that Santa brought was a full size bag of Cheeto's. He sat and ate for a good 10 minutes before we stopped him. Great breakfast!

After we got ready we made that stops at Grandma and Grandpa Millers, opened more presents had some yummy crackers and cheeseball. Headed to Grandma and Grandpa Smiths for more presents and dinner.
As always Trent spoiled me as usual. I feel bad I didnt end up taking photos of what we got for each other. I guess it will have to wait until next year. One thing that I was excited to get was a rice cooker! I can now make dishes with rice, I fail every time the good old fashioned stove top way.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

This year we were so excited to go up to Grandpa and Grandma Smith's house for Christmas Eve. The annual soup dinner, bingo, dollar gifts, decorating sugar cookies was a lot of fun. Logan loves being at Grandpa and Grandma Smith's, especially with all the cousins!

By the time we got home it was way past Logan's bed time. We opened pajamas, read our Christmas book and headed to bed to dream of sugarplums dancing in our heads. Logan got grinch pajamas...not that he is grinchy. I just thought they were cute.

A Crazy Day!

Today was quite eventful! We had Logan's 2 year check ups, I had to make a last minute dash to See's candy distribution center in SLC, hosted our work Christmas lunch, dropped presents off to sister who is leaving out of town tomorrow, dashed home to get ready to go again to the Smith family Christmas party, Logan seeing and liking Santa from a distance, NOT close up, home again to clean and finish wrapping gifts!

I guess it is just the time of year, this year I feel a bit more prepared! Gifts are bought, wrapped (90% of them), and making all kinds of holiday treats! Sadly Trent doesn't really care for treats so either I end up eating them all, taking them to work or giving them away!

Logan's appointment went really well! He is in the 95% percentile for his head, 97% for his weight and about 115% for his height! I don't know how you can get over 100% but I guess it is possible!

At the Smith family Christmas party no one really asked if I was pregnant! I feel like I look huge but it may be in my head. The one person that did ask was Trent's uncle...a bit weird. He asked when the big day was, I almost pretended that we didn't have a "big day" and made him feel bad but I felt a bit nicer and told him. Still funny that the uncle would say something.

If you need help wrapping gifts let me know...I am a bit addicted to wrapping gifts!

This baby must want me to write something because he is kicking like crazy! Baby #2 says hi!

Santa

At the Smith family Christmas party Santa makes a quick stop between all of the things he needs to get ready for Christmas day. Logan loved him from afar, once it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap he wanted nothing to do with him. Closest we got was a high 5 with me holding him. Hope this next year he will like him a bit better.

Logan is Two!

Today is Logan's birthday! We are excited for him to turn another year older and wiser! Though he already outsmarts me sometimes I am excited for him to continue to grow!

Things I love about Logan...
-Tries to sneak his binky out of his bed. We made a rule that he could only have his bink in his bed, sometimes in the morning when I am working on my emails I will see him casually walk into his room and bolt out with a bink in his mouth. I can tell that he is thinking that he totally outsmarted me!
-Loves to help cook, clean and do laundry...is my kid normal? I cant do a batch of laundry without him helping put the clothes in the washer, splashing the water around and closing the lid. He knows how to pull and set up my step stool in the kitchen so anytime I attempt to make anything he is right there wanting to stir, pour and mix. When I sweep or vacuum he has to hold onto the handle, this makes it take at least twice as long but it is totally worth it! I hope this never changes!
-He is a outside boy through and through. When it is too cold or I am working he loves his rocket! I think it is so cute when he will come and ask me for "more rocket please". Sadly I probably let him watch too many episodes a day but he is perfectly happy!
-His hands, sounds weird but they look and remind me just of Trent's hands and papa Smith's hands. They are a little more than half the size of mine witch scares me that at the age of 7 he will be able palm a men's basketball. (Trent thinks its a good thing) Big, squared fingers, strong, and I love holding them!
-His funny personality. He thinks he is the funniest kid (and most of the time he is). He can make me laugh over the dumbest things. We love to sit and laugh together!
-His size! I had a guy ask me the other day why my four year old wasn't talking...I replied back to him that he was still one. I have to remember that Logan is still so little in age but huge in size! At his 18 month check up he was in the 90% percentile for his head, 95% for his weight and off the chart for his height. I cant wait to see where he is now...We will know this next week for his two year check up.
-I love when he wants to come and sit on my lap! He is not a cuddly kid and never was. The times he does want to sit and hold sitll for a minute is my favorite!
-Most of all the love and the joy he brings to our home! I can't imagine life without him, he is at times difficult when throwing fits but I sure love him! I can't wait for him to grow and be such a great example to his brother and people he meets. His unwavering personality will be perfect for the tough challenges he will need to face later in life and I will always stand by his side no matter what! I am so blessed to have this sweet child of God in my life!

2 year photos

So I decided to get Logan's photos taken before it snowed for this 2 year birthday photos! Jefra Starr Linn did such a great job! She has an awesome unique style that fits Logan's funny personality! Here are a few of my favorites! I think the second photo looks a ton like Trent.

Thanks to Jefra for doing such a great job!
I am working on his birthday decorations, hopefully I will have a few sneek peak photos up soon! I had planned for about 6 months to do a friends party with some of the kids in the neighborhood. I cant make the excuse that it creeped up on me because I have known for the entire year when his birthday is. Trent talked me out of a big party until he really wants it! It is probably smart. I still have the themed decor ready to go and I will be decorating for my sweet Logan and his special day!
YIKES I have a 2 year old!

Happy Holidays!

This year has gone by so fast! It is already December and we are into the swing of Christmas. I was so happy with how my front door decor turned out.

Call me a bit crazy but I love making neighbor gifts. Not just a few or even 10. This year I made about 65. I feel like with the season of giving this is the least I can do. Homemade Carmel White Chocolate popcorn graced front doors of friends & family.

BYU Basketball

This year we decided to attend a few BYU basketball games. I was really impressed how much Logan liked it. I am afraid that he already is a die hard fan...thanks to his dad.

Halloween!

I know that this is a late post, better late than never! Logan loved Halloween, he loved trick or treating, dressing up and eating all the treats! Here are a few photos of him enjoying himself that night!

Baby Boy!

Today we announced that we are having a baby boy to our family at Thanksgiving dinner! We just found out yesterday that we are having another boy! I am so excited for Logan to have a brother to play with and that we don't have to invest in tons of girl clothes. I am a bit jealous that there is about double the amount of girl clothes than boy clothes.

There are lots of things to be grateful for! I am so glad that we can grow our little family by one more precious little one. So grateful for a supportive husband who loves me no matter what and will do ANYTHING for me. I am go grateful to have a happy (most of the time) and healthy Logan who has plenty of energy to go around. The list goes on. I think I need to sit down and count my blessings and be grateful more but I am sure glad to have so many blessings.

I made a shirt for Logan to wear that said "My Mom's having a Boy!" By the time I took it off him half of the letters were peeled off. So sorry there is no photo with this post.

21 weeks and counting! I am due April 12.

Grow Family

I got to take some photos of my sister and her kids this last week! Leah is to talented and thoughtful! She brought darling red gerber daisies to match clothes, a cute car and had the perfect pose in mind! She didnt care if the kids were looking at the camera or not. This was easy to keep kids happy and saying in place. I am still practicing but I sure love it!

My Cook...

Lately Logan has been really good at helping with anything he can. Putting the laundry into the washer, sweeping, picking up his toys, helping load the diswasher, etc.

Today I was making some pasta for lunch and he helped pour in the noodles into the pan. A few minutes later he watched me stir them and leave the fork on the counter by the noodles to cook. Next thing I know Logan has pulled out the step stool, slid it right in front of the stove, climbed up and was stiring the noodles. Apparently they needed to be stired! I love watching him grow into a super smart kid!

Luckly I had my camera close that I could grab a few photos before I pulled him away from the open flame!

Our Crazy Life!

So it has been a while since I last posted. Here is the updates

New York was great! We had a great time and came home with a ton of purses! 27 in total. I got a few for a couple of friends and two for myself. The others were for my sister-in-law and mother-in-law. I would love to go back...in a few years!

September was a whirlwind month. My birthday, Trent & I had our 6th year anniversary, I worked three weekends, traveled out of town twice, got ready for my biggest event of the year and still tried to maintain our home life!

I just have to interject, I feel so grateful to be married to Trent. He is so supportive and giving. When I have to be out of town I don't ever worry that Logan wont be fed or taken care of, in fact when I am out of town it always seems like they are on all sorts of adventures. I missed our anniversary being out of town and instead of complaining that I was gone he took Logan to where he asked me to marry him. Hiked around a while and took him to dinner. I makes me feel so good to have such a great husband and dad in our home!

October has started to be crazy as well. The first week I had our retailer event to prep for. Trent drew out for some Buck & Bull combo tags so he has been gone the last two weekends hunting with his dad and brother. I went up to a cabin/lodge in Brighton with my family for conference, little did they know that they all would be working for QuicKutz kitting all my classes. Having most of the grand kids in one giant room playing/screaming and bonding made for a loud weekend. We came home and got a call from one of the sisters letting us know that three of the kids started throwing up. I crossed my fingers hoping that we missed it. Nope! That night Logan came into my room crying and started throwing up. After we cleaned it all up I called a few friends in my neighborhood to come give Logan a blessing (Trent was still hunting). They came at midnight witch was so nice! I still owe them treats. Logan kept throwing up what seemed to be about every 30 minutes for the rest of the night. The next day he seemed to be fine but still threw up once at our neighbors house. Lucky that it was just a little 36 hour flu bug and nothing more. Trent came home and I left to my retreat. Days of working ALL day 7 am to 12 midnight makes anyone tired! It turned out great with a few glitches. I came home and Trent left again for this last weekend of hunting. I hope they get something, especially because I would love some jerky!

Promise to add photos and update this thing more frequent!

New York...Here We Come!

Tomorrow I am headed to New York! I am excited to go see all the New York has to offer. I have been to New York before but for business so that doesn't mean I saw anything! Hopefully we will have a fun time and come back with good stories and better pictures!

20 months

Logan has turned to a little boy lately. Sad to say but he isn't a baby anymore. He is very independent, thinks he is so big, loves to do everything himself and is a bit timid at first. Whenever we go anywhere he glares at everyone and like to stick by his mom & dad's side. After about 10 minutes that all changes and you cant keep him grounded.

I sure love this boy!

I found a great place to take photos. Cool red building with a perfect railroad track that is out of commission 5 feet away. When you are ready to take photos let me know and I will direct you where to go or give me a call and I will come take some for you.

Fishing in Alaska!

Trent and his dad went fishing in Alaska for 5 days and came back with funny stories, beautiful photos, and loads of fish! I am not complaining especially because I love fish and I am happy that they were able to spend time together.

They fished like crazy, ate like kings, went on a glacier tour, saw whales, fished some more and had a great time. Hopefully one day I can go back with them. I don't love fishing as much as they do but I do love the scenery, taking photos and spending time together!

Here are some of my favorite photos.
