Two Different Directions

Trent left to fish in Alaska yesterday! I was so excited for him to go and spend some time with his dad! I couldn't sleep the night before I was so happy for him!

Today he caught a 85 pound halibut! The biggest of the group! He said all in all fishing was pretty slow for all the boats...I wouldn't think so with a 85 pounder!

Tomorrow I leave for Orlando for a trade show for work! I am happy because we released some awesome products! Check them out at www.lifestylecraft.com. I am also excited to have this show over! They are a ton of work but in the same beat I love doing them. I am so grateful for my job and the people I work with. I learn new things every day from all the talented people I am around.

Logan will be home! Playing with aunt Jacki and my neighbor Susan. I am so lucky to be able to have Jacki come to my home and live here for the week while we both are gone.

See you soon!

New Site

I don't know why but I get so excited when I find a new food site I can get ideas from. Since I struggle to figure out what to make for dinner each night I thought it would be good to add this new site to my list!

It has some fun features, share recipes, bounce ideas off each other, etc. Take a peek! Brought to you by Pioneer Woman, who has a great blog I am envious of.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We decided to skip going to a parade and go boating instead! It was so much fun. At one point Jacki and I got catapulted off the tube resulting in some sore muscles but it was well worth it.

Later that evening we had a little BBQ, played games and headed up to watch the fireworks. We decided that we would go to the school lawn on the hill to get a good view. When we got there sprinklers had turned on down by the parking lot. It slowly made its way up towards the field were everyone was sitting. We decided to go sit on the asphalt in case they did turn on. A few minutes later they all came on people were screaming, laughing, grabbing kids, blankets, chairs and running to get off the lawn. We didn't have a great view of the fireworks so we decided to head home since it was way past Logan's bed time and we could watch them driving home.

Needless to say we had a great 4th of July. I am so grateful to be able to live in this free country.

I am proud to be an American!

Lehi Kids Parade and Grandpa Smith

Every year we go sit on my sister-in-laws parents lawn and watch the Lehi kids parade. It is so fun to see the floats and the creative minds behind them (usually parents). Logan loved it! Every float threw candy and he loved running and picking it all up. Cousin Jade was in it this year with her cheerleading group. It was so fun to see her do her thing!

During the parade Logan wandered over to sit on grandpa Smiths lap. I thought it was so thoughtful and sweet. I can see a special bond between them that I just love! We are so grateful to have such a sweet and caring grandpa Smith.

Giddy Up!

I don't know why but I LOVE rodeos! I was in line buying my Lehi rodeo tickets they day they went on sale! I guess you can say that deep down I wanted to be a cowgirl when I was little. I was a bit worried how Logan would do but he did great! Trent had to take a little walk with him about 3/4 the way through, he came back happy and we ended with the bull riding! Cant wait until next year!
